In 2013, British entrepreneur Charles Shaker splashed out around €400,000 on a single round of champagne at Billionaire Club Monaco during the Monaco Grand Prix. He forked out the fortune on an extremely rare Armand de Brignac Brut Gold ‘Dynasty’ collection of champagne. In front of delighted VIPs, including Leonardo DiCaprio, 12 waiters carried nine different sized champagne bottles into the party – equivalent to 109 standard champagne bottles. Eye-catcher of the evening was the colossal 30 liter Midas. The bottle weighs over 45 kg and equals 40 standard bottles. It needed four men to lug it in a golden bucket.
